There were three two-game winners who all finished with plus 31 shots, so the organisers were forced to invoke the Duckworth Lewis method to determine the winner.
After careful consideration, Parker and Craig Manning and Mark Quor were declared the winners on countback from Laura Manning, Jacob Hird and Joanne Bovell, while Anne Healy and Jade Hipworth finished a close third.
Jo Bovell, who has been the driving force and mainstay of the competition for the best part of two years, then had her name drawn for the chance at the $1200 cash jackpot.
I’m not sure that the D.L. method was required again but Jo asked Parker Manning to select a card for her.
Unfortunately for young Parker, and for Jo, his joker seeking ability failed to match the earlier exploits of his family on the bowling green, which leaves the jackpot at $1250 after play tomorrow.
Names are to be in by 5pm for a 6pm start, and players may call the club on 5881 1348 to register.

Simon Chisholm’s side went down 21 shots to 25, while Jamie Shields’ and Shane Laing’s lost 13-19 and 14-22 respectively.
Division 2 had a great tussle with Echuca before eventually succumbing by seven shots, 52-59.
The combination of Chris Taylor, Tyler Hillier, David Hessel and Rob Morris(skip) scored a comfortable win, 24 shots to 16, but Craig Hillier’s side was beaten 12-25, and Peter Todd’s team suffered a narrow defeat, 16 shots to 18.

Tom Todd’s crew including Robyn Little, Monique Crothers and Maxine Norton was beaten 18 shots to 24, while Joanne Bovell’s side won by the barest of margins, 19 shots to 18.
Keith Hay skipped his team of Murray’s- Noel, Craig and John to an identical 19-18 score line, after trailing by 11 shots after the first eight ends, but it wasn’t quite enough to prevent the overall four shot deficit.

Col Knuckey’s side went down 15 shots to 22, while Lloyd Ritchie’s team suffered a 12-25 defeat.
