In the girls’ squad, an Echuca United side that romped undefeated to the Goulburn Murray Girls League premiership has four members potentially set to suit up for the Pioneers.
Sage Dennis, Ruby Mcleod and Harper Delamare were all named in the 24-strong squad, while Matilda Fowler is listed as an emergency, as is Moama’s Bella Kendrick.
On the boys side, the division two squad is rife with local talent, with 10 players named across the squad and its emergencies.
Echuca’s Jake Coghlan, Taj Fleming and Munyari Johnson made the starting 22, as did Moama’s Campbell McCarty, Bohdi Teasdale-Dohnt and Dane Dickinson and Leitchville-Gunbower’s Mac Ryan.
Among the emergencies are Echuca’s Van Lowry, Rochester’s Darby Martin and Lockington-Bamawm United’s Patrick Keele.
The V/Line Cup is Victoria’s most prestigious representative football carnival for regional under-15 players and will be held in Ballarat from September 23-25.
Each of the seven participating sides will play two games as part of the carnival.
Both Pioneers sides are set for match-ups with the North East Border Bushrangers on September 23 and the Gippsland Power on September 24.
