On Tuesday morning, a remarkable performance was witnessed on the greens of Seymour Bowling Club.
With her exceptional skills, Linda Brown emerged victorious in all three of her games, earning the prestigious title of Star of the Green for 2024.
With a point score of 139, she finished 10 points ahead of runners-up Dot Dillon, on 129, and 23 ahead of third-placed Gail Krzciuk, on 116.
Both Dillon and Krzciuk also went through the day undefeated.
Eighteen players entered the singles contest, and a fast-paced day ensued with all participants keeping fit.
Seymour Bowls Club thanks Dale Selleck for bringing pies for lunch, Linda Brown for the carrot cake, president Jan Wesselman for organising the event, and Biggles Brown and the ground team for the well-prepared greens.
