After bowling out Rushworth for 108, Echuca had little trouble hunting down the total with plenty of balls, and five wickets, to spare.

Ben Henson’s 3-32 led the way for Echuca with the ball, while Rushworth’s batting innings was held up by Michael Enrico (31) and Daniel Newton (26).
Opener Connor Shannon (46) stayed around long enough to see his side get most of the way to the target, while Ben Henson and Rory Carlile (both 12 not-out) finished the job.
Thomas Stevens had the best figures for Rushworth with 2-17.
Moama continues to search for its first win after suffering a closely contested loss to Kyabram Fire Brigade.
Matthew Key was pivotal for the Mowers at the top of the order, making 75, while Mitchell Hewes was the only other notable contributor as Moama set 7-151 in its 40 overs.
Rikki Busch did the most damage with the ball for the Flames, taking 3-33.
In reply, Fire Brigade had plenty of contributions from its top and middle order, but Lachlan Carver stood out among his peers, raising the bat after making 51.

Cooma retained top spot after a routine victory over Girgarre by six wickets.
Batting first, opener Leigh Kempinski (24) was the only highlight for the Kangaroos, who were all out for 51.
Ethan Palma-Ludeman (4-5) and Ben Napier (3-17) struck with regularity to give their batsmen an easy path to victory.
Liam Scopelliti (25 not-out) guided Cooma home, while Blake Watts (2-24) and Jonathon Sherritt (2-27) had a pair of wickets each.
Level with Cooma is Leitchville-Gunbower, which maintained its early form with a win over Echuca South.
The Swans batted first and were led by Jason Scott’s 37, while L-G’s Sam Colvin (3-20) was impressive with the ball as South set 8-122 in their 40 overs.
Leitchville-Gunbower wasted no time hunting down the target, Scott Lucas’ 74 not-out from 66 balls ensuring his side would easily match the Swans’ total.
Moama’s bowlers did enough for their side to defend 126 against Tongala.
Andrew McIntosh (38) provided valuable runs from the number eight spot, allowing the Mowers to set the target, while Callum Tucker (4-18) led the way for Tonny with the ball.
McIntosh was also the star with ball in hand, taking 4-22 to sink the Blues, despite the efforts of Hayden Hicks (31) and Ryan Smith (20).
Nondies-Cohuna grabbed its maiden win of the season, downing Rochester by four wickets.
Craig Williams made 40 at the top of the order, but the Rochy batting effort fell flat outside the top three as it posted 119.
The bowling load was shared by Logan Higgs (2-25) and Kyeran Ellery (2-18) who took two wickets each.
The Nondies response was led by Peter Taylor (56), saluting with a half-century, his side getting the job done in 27.2 overs.
William Hipwell (2-16) was the only Rochester bowler to strike more than once.
Gus Underwood C-grade Shield
Rochester remains untouched atop the table after posting 176 for BLU to chase, but who were ultimately rolled for 120.
Leigh Hartshorne and Glen Moroney stood tall for Rochy, tallying scores of 47 and 48 respectively, while Rory Harrington took 4-24 in the second innings.
Stanhope chased down Cooma’s score of 7-174 in 37 overs to claim their second win of the 2024-25 campaign.
Lachlan Joyce’s unbeaten 68 was the defining knock of the game, with Kian Verrall supplying great assistance with 46.
Ky Fire Brigade blasted 180 in 39 overs before rolling Girgarre for 92 to lock in second and continue their perfect start to the season.
Brodie Boal-Ryan’s 71 powered the Flames to the total with Michael Mott contributing a well-fought 44. Captain Sam Vick then took 5-32 in the second innings.
Echuca South forfeited their match against Echuca.

Moama claimed its first win of the season, chasing down Ky Fire Brigade’s total of 9-135 in 22 overs.
Sam McCleary and Scott McCallum were the standouts for the Mowers, scoring 51 and 46 not-out respectively.
Rushworth affirmed its top billing in D-grade, hunting down Echuca’s 8-141 score.
Zac Dearing scored 40 while Dean Shepard took 3-20 for the Tigers.
Tongala was able to defend its total of 6-131 against BLU, bowling out the Lions for 126.
Tim Simpson had a standout all-round performance for the Blues, raising the bat in the first innings with 50 while taking 4-27 in the second.
