Moama notched its first win of the season in hot conditions against Elmore in round seven.

The Redbacks chose to bat first and were unable to get anything going, with Aaron Juffs (17) and Tom Morris (17) joint top scoring in its all-out-for-89 rolling.
Meanwhile, Moama never left first gear in its run chase, only losing the wickets of captain Matthew Keys (8) and Jackson Groves (11).
Batsmen Matthew Watt (37 not out) and Duane Johns (25 not out) got the job done for the home side in just under 14 overs.
Ky Fire Brigade (7-146) got an important win over second-placed Rushworth (104) in their match-up.
The Flames’ openers Oscar Carver (40) and Nick Smart (40) top scored, with Shannon Jarrett taking 3-29 for Rushworth.
But the Tigers were unable to chase a gettable 147, with Thomas Stevens (44) the only batsman to score more than 15 for the visitors, while Jarrod Chapman took care of business for his side with figures of 3-12.
Stanhope (3-144) cruised to a seven-wicket victory over now-bottom feeder BLU (143).
The Lions batted first with Lucas Holgate (61) and Gregory Pearse (34) steadying the innings in the middle order, while Luke Twynstra (4-29) was the pick of Stanhope’s bowlers.
Stanhope’s innings was by committee, with the side chasing down the total in 35 overs, Matthew Evans (36) and Craig Emmett’s (35) scores getting the job done.
An undermanned Colbinabbin (8-52) side stood no chance against number one-ranked side Echuca (4-53), who cruised to the win inside eight overs.
Adam McPhee (21) top-scored for the Ducks, with only Tyler McNamara (14) providing any sort of resistance against Echuca’s class bowling led by Archer Carlile (3-10).
Lachlan Hogan (16) and Connor Shannon (16) top-scored in the small run chase, with Tyler McNamara taking (2-17).

Cooma (3-90) retains top spot in the competition after downing Leitchville-Gunbower (86) in round seven.
No L-G batsman stood out in their innings, but Scott Lucas (25), Jason Keath (23) and Jimmy Gelletly (21) all made starts, while Jack Norris (3-14) led with the ball.
Meanwhile, Cooma’s middle order batsmen Russell Napier (23 not out) and Hunter Fawcett (29 not out) guided their side to victory.
Moama’s (9-205) score was too large for Echuca South (147) to chase down at Moama Recreation Reserve.
James Simpson’s (80) knock set the stage for a bitg score from the Mowers, with fellow opener Adam Luckman (39) providing a nice cameo.
Akila Senanayake (39) and Nirosh Rashantha (23) were the only batsmen to score more than 20 in Echuca South’s innings, while Finn Murphy (4-22) rampaged through the line-up.
Rochester (8-185) triumphed over Girgarre (166) in their contest at Rochester Recreation Reserve.
Rochy’s number seven Donald Young (51) starred in the first innings, with a few other batsmen supporting, chiefly Craig Williams (36).
Lachlan Werner (3-20) led Girgarre’s bowling attack.
Meanwhile, all of Girgarre’s top four got starts with Charles Lowe (41) and Billie Gahan (40) scoring the most, but none of the last six batsmen could score more than five.
The match between Tongala and Nondies-Cohuna didn’t go ahead as the community of Tongala is in mourning following the passing of Luke and Benny Smith, the latter of whom played in the B-grade side.
Gus Underwood C-grade Shield
Both Elmore and Girgarre forfeited their matches against Echuca South and Echuca, respectively.
In a wildly high scoring match, BLU (5-217) chased down Stanhope’s (9-206) total in just 27 overs.
Stanhope’s openers Dylan Morris (52) and Shannon McMahon-Kinnear (54) gave their side a good platform for a high total but were limited to 206 by a bowling attack led by Justin Gippy (3-14).
Remarkably, BLU went all out in its innings to secure the win, with opener Adrian Flett (123 not out) blasting a century and carrying his bat through the innings.
Rochester (8-205) put on a solid total to convincingly beat Ky Fire Brigade (102).
Led by Glen Moroney (83) Rochester was able to get good productivity out of its batsmen, while Dan Mott (4-37) cleaned up for the Flames.
Meanwhile, Brodie Boal-Ryan (36) tallied the only score above 12 for Fire Brigade, while Hareesh Kilaru (3-7) bowled nicely.
Peter Raglus D-grade Shield
The match between Cooma and Tongala was cancelled while Ky Fire Brigade forfeited its match against Echuca.
Rushworth (0-143) easily chased down Stanhope’s (6-142) total in their round six contest.
Kian Verral (53) led the batting for the Lions while Brodie Shepard (2-8) and Declan Baldwin (2-40) both took a pair of wickets.
Meanwhile, both Peter Raglus (50) and Baldwin (52) retired not out while Heath Ogden (21 not out) and Shepard (15 not out) finished off the job.
Moama got wins across the board with its D-grade side (1-135) overcoming BLU (130).
The Mowers batted first for just 17 overs, where Scott McCallum (52) retired and Iain McCleary (36 not out) in good form.
Matthew Hamilton (53) was the only line of defence for BLU. Five batsmen scored ducks, with the Lions beaten in 36 overs.
