The Mowers visited Katamatite Recreation Reserve and elected to bat first, but were in early trouble after losing Olivia Davy (3) in the eighth ball of the match.
Wickets continued to fall in the ensuing overs, and Moama looked in danger of a complete batting collapse at 5-18.
With just over half the innings remaining, Delaney Laffy and Mia Arthurson combined to mount a recovery effort.
Laffy was scoring at a decent rate, finding the boundary on four occasions, while Arthurson rotated the strike well before eventually falling for 14.
Delaney was briefly united with sister Isla Laffy before retiring on 39 from 30 deliveries.
Isla (11 not out) linked up with Hanna Rath-Kenny for the final three overs, adding a handy 14 runs as Moama concluded its innings at 6-100.
Christina Roberts held a tight line and length to lead the Katamatite attack, giving up just seven runs from her four overs, also adding two wickets.
Sienna Hutchinson (2-19) was also damaging, while Matilda Iddles (1-25) rounded out the wicket-takers.
Moama would have felt optimistic about its bowling attack defending 100, but the Tigers openers had other plans, setting a strong platform for their side.
Matilda Iddles and Amy Bye set Katamatite on a promising path, holding firm for over seven overs and adding 40 runs.
Mia Arthurson made the breakthrough for Moama, removing Iddles for 18.
Bye and new batter Jessica Bennett continued the resilient display, and the Tigers were on track at 1-56 when Bye retired on 17.
With both openers gone, the middle order proved less resilient and the Moama bowlers took advantage, Jordan Dalziel removing Jordan Watson for no score and Bennett departing the following over courtesy of Olivia Davy.
Katamatite lost two more in the next three overs and found its run-rate stalled, reduced to 6-58 with only three overs remaining.
Alexis Iddles and Sophie Stanley batted out the innings but weren’t able to score the required runs, the Tigers 14 runs short at 5-86.
Davy’s two wickets were the most of the Moama attack, Arthurson, Dalziel and Hanna Rath-Kenny the other wicket takers.
In its return season to the league, Moama has solidly situated itself in mid-table, now 4-3 through nine rounds.
In a round of 35 over matches this Sunday, the Mowers will take on Cooma at Cooma Recreation Reserve, before the league goes on its Christmas hiatus.
Echuca, which postponed its scheduled fixture with Rochester this week, will face undefeated Mooroopna in a litmus test for both side’s title credentials.
