Masuku has signed with GMC runner-up from lasst season Nondies-Cohuna, bringing 117 games of first class cricket experience to Cohuna Reserve.
The right-arm bowling all-rounder has been a consistent performer in Zimbabwe’s Logan Cup — the country’s top-flight red-ball competition — snaring 127 wickets from 33 games since making his debut in 2017, earning Zimbabwe A selection that year.
Former Zimbabwe vice-captain Regis Chakabva also made a splash in the GMC last season, captaining the side during the 2022-23 season.
Meanwhile, Moama has wasted no time bolstering its squad for a tilt at the flag.
The Murphy name will once again grace the team sheets at Moama Cricket Club with Sandhurst skipper Joel making the switch from the Bendigo District Cricket Association.
The top-order batsman last played full-time for Moama during the 2017-18 season, though has competed in the GMC T20 competition for the side in recent times.
Murphy amassed 2454 runs in five seasons for Sandhurst and has also been competing for St Kilda Cricket Club.
In a further coup for the black-and-white, long-time Cooma skipper Michael Hill’s road back to cricket has led him to Moama Recreation Reserve.
The two-time A-grade league champion player has taken up the senior coaching role at Moama, with the side calling on his experience in the hope of building on its semi-final appearance last season.
