In January, professional golfer and LIV Golf Ripper GC member Lucas Herbert will compete in the Webex Players Series Murray River tournament at Cobram Barooga Golf Club.
The Bendigo-born golfer has racked up an impressive list of accolades, including three wins on the European Tour and one PGA Tour victory in the Butterfield Bermuda Championship in 2021.
Sporties Barooga chief executive Bobby Brooks said locals and visitors alike were encouraged to come to the tournament and bear witness to elite sportsmen and women doing battle for top golfing honours.
“We are delighted to have big-name professional golfers play in the Webex Players Series Murray River at Cobram Barooga, which is adding to the excitement of the tournament,” he said.
“For the past three years, Cobram Barooga Golf Club has hosted the Webex Players Series Murray River, an exciting week-long festival of golf, perfect for players and spectators alike.
“We’ve crowned big name winners such as Hannah Green, Sarah Jane Smith and Kazuma Kobori at Cobram Barooga, and we can’t wait to see who this year’s champion will be.”
The Webex Players Series Murray River tournament will start on January 30, and will also showcase local talent from across the region.
