Returning coach Ash Morris said “retainment is key” when looking to build on their performance from this year.
“It is exciting to have re-signed a vast majority of our list, including all top 10 finishers in our best and fairest,” he said.
“Key re-signings include mid-season recruit Jake Dick’O’Flaherty, reigning best and fairest winner Ricky Gittens, along with veterans John Anstee and Todd Gallagher.
“We also can’t wait to see star recruit Reid Crowe back in action after suffering a season-ending knee injury early in the year.”
Morris also hinted that some exciting new signings were in the works.
Rams executive football director Michael Todd said the club is happy that so many players have recommitted for the next season.
“We’ve had a real focus on making sure we retain all our younger players, the under 22s, which we've done,” he said.
“It all looks pretty promising for the club as a whole.
“We had every side make finals this year, which we haven't done for a long time.”
Morris said the intention is to build on this year's performance and raise expectations for 2023.
“We made finals this year but we didn't win one,” he said.
“Our goal is to go a step further and try and win a final, or even go as far as we can.”
Todd said after the 2022 season review, there are a few areas they’ll be targeting and working on when preseason kicks off.
Preseason commences Monday from 6pm at Rams Oval.
“All current, new and prospective players are welcome,” Morris said.
