The Kyabram skipper slammed seven fours and five sixes in racing to 68 off 52 deliveries but the visitors still came up 40 runs short in its 231 run chase.
Winning the toss and batting in the clash at Tallygaroopna Northerners opener Trent Sidebottom with 58, Mitch Brett with 72 and Declan Newbound (43) were able to help their side post a respectable 7/231 against the Kyabram attack missing its injured spearhead and coach Jackson McLay.
Spinner Alec Young with 3/49 off nine overs was the most successful Kyabram bowler.
In reply Kyabram was 2/11 until Kyle Mueller and Cade Mueller (20) staged a temporary fightback.
When they were dismissed Jack Young, Alec Young and Tim Nelson, who all made 20, kept the runs ticking over but not at the run rate required to seriously challenge Northerners total.
* Northerners forfeited its B-grade clash to Kyabram while in E-grade Nagambie scored a narrow win over Kyabram.
With Paul Wickham clubbing 71 with eight fours and three sixes and opener Kristian Chambers contributing 53 with nine fours and a six, Kyabram assembled a handy score of 196.
But Nagambie’s batsmen were up to the challenge and secured a two wickets win.
* Kyabram’s women side had a decisive win over BLU, restricting the visitors to 3/77 off their 20 overs and then covering this score in just 14.1 overs.
Opener Holly Nelson was the star with the bat for Kyabram with an unbeaten 20 with two fours while Eliza Linehan (17 not out) and Chelcee Schubert (10 not out) saw Kyabram home.
