A few unforced errors at the start of the match saw the Hoppers down at quarter time and having to regroup and settle on attack.
Defensive pressure was outstanding with Brooke Knight and Mikayla McAuliffe fighting for every ball and forcing Katunga to make some mistakes.
Sophia Shaw again drove all day in attack and coupled with Brylee McCarty worked well in the mid court.
Brooke McDougall played a tight defensive game in WD and was clearly best on court for the day.
Ella Rhodes once again worked super hard in GA and played a great game.
With another two tough matches ahead, A Grade need to keep focusing on working hard at trainings.

The weekends game was always going to be a struggle against a strong experienced Katunga line up. Maddy Phibbs was thrown in goals and played a great game, while Kayla Oughton and Celine Collins Bye fight tirelessly in defence.
Some more focus on unforced errors is needed in the coming weeks as Rennie head into the last rounds ahead.

Slow start this week, Katunga came out strong, fast and determined. Rennie continued to fight, use communication and teamwork to keep going until the final siren.
Hopey carved up the mid court even with a dodgy back and foot. Mel dominated in defence alongside Leoni, Jae and Cody.
Shez had a change up from shooting and played a quarter in defence. Disappointing ending but kept heads high and kicked on in the ladies day tent.

Another great win by the girls this week. This week's focus was on controlling the ball and making use of every opportunity through chasing the loose balls and not giving up on contests - and the girls proved that this works on the court.
A whole team effort showed strength in calming the play, allowing for vocals to be heard from numerous players and dominance through defensive pressure. Bring on next week!

This week the girls came up against a very strong Katunga and were pushed to work hard every quarter. They all kept their heads up and worked as a team to come out with a win. Heleena and Lucy worked well in defence as always and matched with the shooters making it a great game to watch.
The girls brought the ball down the court well and worked hard to come forward and minimise the amount of lobs.
A great win girls.

A great game played by the girls this week. They worked very well together and encouraged one another throughout the whole game.
The defenders were constantly on top of the ball, intercepting many balls, resulting in a turnover.
The mid court focused on spreading out and moving to the space, as well as watching the ball at all times, which they did very well.
The shooters once again shot amazingly and worked around the ring beautifully. Great game girls!
