A slow start saw the Hoppers playing catch up in the first quarter. Rennie settled and were right back in the game.
The next two quarters Rennie worked hard on settling and took the lead by quite a few. A little lapse of judgement saw the game a lot closer in the last when Mathoura fought hard to come right back into the game.
Taking out a win for A Grade’s last game was a great way to end what has been an up and down season. Thanks girls.
Awards: Miss Dolly - Hannah Shoppee, Bundalong Tavern - Mikayla McAuliffe, Yarra Hotel - Brooke McDougall and Publicans Daughter - Paula Mifka.

B Grade fought hard all day and played possibly their best game in the second half of the season. Strong leads during the game and intense defensive pressure gave them many opportunities. Unfortunately the Hoppers couldn’t covert and although never giving up, could quite get over the line.
A great way to finish the season and the girls should be proud of their efforts.
Awards: ClubMulwala - Brooke Bigger, One Zach - Alainah Bye, Wingates Sports - Georgia Hope and South of the Border - Amy Smith.

Wow! Amazing outcome for the girls playing their last game of the home and away season. Brilliant goaling from Laura allowed the girls to settle in nice and put to practise what they have continued to work on.
Solid defence and midcourt effort from the ever-reliable Georgina and amazing running and set up of goals from Haylee.
So proud of the whole team over the year, bring on finals!

Coming into the final round for the home and away season, the Under 17s had high hopes for finishing off strong. And that is exactly what the girls did.
The girls played as a team and demonstrated how much work they've put into the season as a team and the skills they have learnt.
It was lovely to finish off the last quarter, mixing positions around and seeing the joy of the game on everyone's face.
Awards: No awards, all played so well that dinner was on coach Brooke McDougall.

What an amazing way to finish the home and away season with a win. The girls have worked hard all year to learn new passage of plays and develop their skills as a team.
It has been such a great year and was wonderful to see them put everything into play along with the help of senior coach Paula.
The girls fine-tuned their skills to finish on top of the ladder this year.
The defenders were unstoppable with Heleena pushing forward to be a floating defender to pick off those loose balls.
Sophie, Alani and Mia were all on fire with their goals this week and it is great to see Mia develop her skills in reading the play and knowing exactly where to throw the ball into her teammates that are in the ring.
The mid courts this week were outstanding with Iris and Vi working perfectly in attack while Darla brought some strong passes to the game and a very strong defence.
Congratulations to the girls for an amazing year and bring on finals!!
Awards: Rhodes Family - Darla Lawless, Jarrobee Farms - Violet Elliott, Yarra Fish N Chips - Heleena Shaw and Mulwala Bakery - Lucy Bassett.

A freezing start for the 13s this Saturday, which just meant they had to put what they learnt on Thursday into play, which was taking time and practicing accurate passes.
The girls started the game off with a bang and giving it their all, intercepting many balls, sticking on players and working well as a team.
The defenders were on top of every ball, going for every intercept and every rebound.
The mid court worked on going to the space and communicating with each other, ultimately bringing it down to the shooters where they moved beautifully and shot even better.
Amazing game girls!
Awards: Rhodes Family - Charlotte Burrows, Thyme for Coffee - Kate Giblet, Mulwala Bakery - Tess Bassett and Rennie Catering Committee - Mia Brogan.
Development Squad
The youngest Hopperettes came out firing for the last game of the season. The effort at training has really shown how far the girls have come from the start of the season.
The great leadership from coach Sheryl has developed outstanding team moral and such a fun team to be a part of.
A lovely bunch of young ladies were Hayley, Ava, Maisie, Ella, Azaria, Poppie, Ruby and Winnie and it is so nice to really see the development in their skills and ability.
Such a great game by all the girls to finish off the season.
Awards: Ricky D’s Pizza – Everyone, Jarrobee Farms - Poppie McBurnie, Rennie Catering Committee - Ava Styles and Rhodes Family - Azaria McBurnie.
