Despite attracting a smaller field than hoped, it was still a quality field.
Club president Tony Tonta said a new format saw that every team got the chance to play off for a cut of the prize money.
The winners, after play-offs and with margin +2, was the Echuca team of Jim Ferrier, Ian Page and Steve Cunnington.
Second was the composite team of Gavin Niclasen, Ian Berry and Paul Clear with a margin of zero.
Third was Rutherglens' Michael Dickins, Perry Vaccaro and Murray Sconn.
“The greens were prepared to perfection by our greenskeeper Peter Wilson, and with the support of our many helpers we can safely say that the tournament ran without a hitch,” Tonta said.
“There’s plenty of appreciation for the support of clubs in our playing area, with players from Mathoura, Echuca, Moama, Deniliquin and visitors from Cheltenham, Bundoora, Marong, Katandra West, Rutherglen, Golden Square and Oaklands taking part.”
The RSL’s next tournament is ‘Take Arms’ on November 28.
