Rich River Golf Club has crowned its club champions after a thrilling final round of action on Sunday, which saw both the men’s and ladies’ champions crowned on the same day for the first time in club history.

Steve Levy won his second A-grade club championship in windy and tough conditions from youngster D’Arcy Whyte, both shooting 76 in the final round as Levy prevailed by three shots.
In B-grade, Andrew Briggs came from six shots behind at the start of the day to beat Jack O’Callaghan by the closest of margins.
In C-grade, Col Heywood won a four-way play-off when he parred the first hole in sudden death.
James Evans won D-grade by three shots from Bill Ramsay, who had looked the winner from day one.
In the senior men’s championship, David Pearson held off Craig Healey to win by seven shots.
In the ladies’ championship, Kacey Heywood made it two wins in the Heywood family when she beat last year’s winner, Nacole Horneman, with her first-round 74 playing a big part in the win.
The Bronze 1 event saw another play-off, with an excited Josie Kirkman shooting a final-round 93 to finish in a tie for the lead, before beating Winnie Lavery and Sue Jenkinson on the second play-off hole.
Co-captain Marg Davison won the Bronze 2 event by eight shots over Lynne Tucker.
