Star recruit JD Hayes was right among the action, kicking three goals in a best-on-ground performance as the Towners romped to the 25.14 (164) to 13.11 (89) win.
The large margin comes after what was a relatively subdued opening quarter, which saw Violet town edge out to a 47 to 20 lead at the first change.
Their margin would be extended by a kick at half-time, enjoying a 13-point advantage at the long break, before turning the wick up in the third term.
Brad Gleeson’s men piled on 10 goals to five in an absolute shootout in the third term, tearing the game wide open to lead by 47 at the final change, before once again peppering the goals in the last to outscore Undera eight goals to three.
Hayes proved a class above, with the former Euroa man named Violet Town’s best, despite a 10-goal showing from Robert Wilson, who had to settle for second spot behind the silky mid, while John Woodcock (one goal), Gleeson (two goals) and Ashly Hobbs (three goals) rounded out the best.
Charles Thompson slotted two majors as the other multiple goal-kicker, while Nathan Abley, Ryan Jennings, Joshua Robertson and Caden Robinson each fired home one goal.
The win has Violet Town sitting in sixth spot after two rounds at 1-1 and it will be looking to put that ratio into the positives when it takes on Tallgaroopna after the Easter break.

It was a tough and disappointing loss for the Towners after the high of defeating Nagambie in the opening round. Despite the scoreboard, the team’s effort and determination were nothing short of inspiring.
From start to finish, every player gave their all, showing real heart and commitment across the court despite the heat knocking several players.
The Towners’ effort in defence was exceptional — constantly applying pressure, taking clean intercepts and making it hard for the opposition to settle into their rhythm. It was a standout of the game and kept the Towners in the contest.
Despite the challenges, the players never gave up. Their resilience, support for one another and refusal to back down made for a strong team performance that deserved more points on the scoreboard.
Plenty of positives to take forward — heads high and onwards to the next game.

An awesome effort by each and every player as Towners coped with summer type heat and got their first win of the season.
It was an excellent team game with players rotating on and off the court to provide frequent breaks for each other, sometimes playing in unusual positions, but always giving their best.
Macey Ross played a strong game in goals and Makaila Gilbee was strong, stepping up to B-grade with great prowess this season. A special thank you must go to Tilly for providing the ice that helped both players and coaches make it through.

On a ridiculously hot day for netball, Towners players struggled with the heat and were thankful to be able to rotate on and off the court with rolling subs.
Towners were in front at times and had opportunities to win, but didn’t capitalise and in the end Undera was the victor.
