Yarrawonga Mulwala Basketball Association was honoured with a prestigious award at the recent Basketball Victoria Annual Technical Officials Award Ceremony held at the State Basketball Centre in Wantirna South last week.
The local association was presented with the “Technical Officials Program of the Year” Award in the Tier 3 Category, which recognised the association for their dedication, continuous learning and determination to advance referees in basketball.
YMBA’s referee co-ordinator Cameron Arthur was there to accept the award on behalf of the association and was very proud of this award.
“The development of referees is such a vital part of the ongoing success and advancement of our association, as without referees we can’t have a game,” Cameron said.
“We have worked hard this year to develop our beginner green shirt program and it was fantastic to be recognised for our program at these state level awards.”
