Located in the Murray Valley National Park, this camping spot has access to a boat ramp, toilets, picnic tables and barbecues. It’s probably closer to glamping than camping.
The national park is one of the best in the region, but no pets allowed.
Gunbower Island

It’s a great family spot, with fireplaces meaning you can roast marshmallows as the sun sets or even cook the fish you caught earlier that day when you went fishing on the Murray River.
Drop toilets are available, but dogs are not allowed.
Betts Beach
Although Betts Beach does not have any toilets available, it does have picturesque views of the Murray River and the surrounding flora and fauna.
Located only 8km from the Echuca Moama Visitor Centre, it is an easy spot to visit for the night for families who are looking for a free spot to camp.
Dogs are permitted at this site, so you can bring your fur-babies along to enjoy this beautiful spot on the river.
Edward River Bridge
Located adjacent to the Murray Valley National Park, this spot is perfect for those who are not your regular campers and who are looking for a break away from the hustle and bustle of their daily lives.
This camping ground has toilets, barbecue facilities and sculptures and is one of the most picturesque campsites in the region. Dogs are permitted at the campsite but are not permitted in the adjacent national park.
This spot is located 48km from the Echuca Moama Visitor Centre and is perfect for a weekend away this summer.
