Mayor Adrian Weston and councillors John Zobec, Annie Vickers and Vicki Neele have indicated they will put their hands up for the postal vote.
Cr Weston said the opportunity to continue representing the Campaspe Shire community would be a privilege.
“I’m likely to stand again at this point in time. I feel I can still bring value on behalf of the community in all of council business – I’ve accumulated eight years of both council and community knowledge,” he said.
“So I’d be privileged to represent the Rushworth ward and the Campaspe community as a whole.”
Cr Vickers said she felt there was more she could do for the community and so would be running again, as did Cr Neele.
“At this stage I will be. There are things I still want to get happening, and still things I want to achieve. I’ll put my hand up and see what people think,” Cr Neele said.
“I’ll stand for another term. I’ve always wanted to make sure the community is involved in decision making. You are representing your community, and we need to keep progressing our community projects,” Cr Zobec said.
However councillors Daniel Mackrell and Leanne Pentreath said the jury was still out.
“To be honest I’m not even completely confident about the current term. But I would have to see who else is running to determine my decision,” Cr Pentreath said.
Cr Mackrell said he was "frustrated and disillusioned that doing the right thing doesn’t matter sometimes".
Crs Leigh Wilson and Neil Pankhurst said they would be passing the baton.
“I’m not running again. Eight years in council is a sizeable commitment and it’s a good thing to pass on to another member of the community to represent the ward,” Cr Wilson said.
“It’s time to stand aside and allow new ideas in a new council to evolve,” he said.
“Not at this stage. I’ve done three terms and I think I can do more valuable things with my time. I’ve appreciated working with the community throughout my 12 years on council,” Cr Pankhurst said.
Cr Kristen Munro was contacted for comment.
